Within my various research interests, which I try to widen and nurture whenever it is possible, I have focused mostly in three main lines during my career as a researcher:
·Korean Studies: my main research line is Korean Studies, focused mainly on history, urban history and urban development. I have carried out in-depth research on Seoul historical urbanism and its current urban development and dynamics.
·Urban Studies: another field in which I have focused is Urban Studies. Apart from studying the city itself, there are several knowledge areas which can be studied and analyzed through the urban perspective.
·Literature and linguistics: the last of my main research interests is literature and linguistics. Although they are obviously two different disciplines, my approach towards Literature is through Linguistics rather than Literature Theory per se.
