I obtained my Ph.D. from Umeå university in 1991 and became professor of Business Administration in 2005. Main research interest is in projects and temporary organizations. Together with my fellow research community members, we have contributed to the growth of project studies based on social science and organizational theory. I have published on the theoretical roots of temporary organizations as well as outlined how theories and studies on projects can build a stronger foundation for the understanding of contemporary organizations. More recently, research contributions have been on research agendas for project studies within the wider framework of organization theory.

To re-write, and re-focus, organizational theory based on the abundance of projects as a fundamental component of organizations is a research mission of greatest importance and to which I would like to contribute through the (part time) research efforts I am able to do for the coming years.
