Lauren McCall received her Master of Arts and Education in Music and Science from the University of Georgia. She studied composition with Dr. Adrian Childs, clarinet with Dr. McClellan and music education with Dr. Leglar. She has had compositions performed in Oregon, Kentucky and New York City. Her current research interest include deaf music education, World Music Pedagogy, the Dalcroze method, the instrument clarinet, and various approaches to composition from composers including scalar approaches, atonal, and connecting various musical pieces through techniques like Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Her musicology interest include opera, African American music history and learning about music from various cultures around the world so she can teach these things in her classes.
