First half of my research career I was exclusively focused on cancer biology, and disease genetics. My exposure to biofield therapy, particularly pranic healing, led to a shift in focus towards the healing mechanisms within our human psychophysiology. I was intrigued by the many possibilities that emerged to explore the biomedical correlates of biofield phenomena. This led to my interest in complementary and alternative, but also integrative medicine. It encouraged me to study the psychophysiology of the practice of yoga and meditation. My current research focuses on exploring the molecular mechanisms associated with the cardiovascular health benefits of yoga practice. Since 2017, I have also become familiar with a particular Applied Consciousness Science application called IOLEE or Inside Out Learning Experience. My own experience with this educational intervention has shown promising results. This has prompted me to go in the direction of interdisciplinary research and explore the health benefits of the combination of: biofield therapy, Yoga, Ayurveda and Applied Consciousness Science and specially IOLEE.
