Castedo Ellerman

I study mathematics applied to genetics, especially population genetics. My path to scholarly study has been nontraditional. My professional career was in the software and finance industries. After becoming a stay-at-home parent, I developed an interest in genetics. I implemented a consumer DNA reporting service (Gene Heritage). After learning more advanced genetics, I started to contribute to open-source research software.
