Lately, I've been trying to answer the following questions: What constitutes an evolutionary group, how does group fitness emerge from underlying dynamics, how to describe the evolution of groups and their parts at the same time, how do groups keep free riding at bay, how do group level traits emerge, how does punishment evolve?
Before that I was interested in whether it's possible to have regions of spacetime that are euclidian in their signature and how they would interact with the usual Lorentzian regions we are accustomed to. A longer term project if I ever have time is to continue Einstein's project of trying to recast Quantum Mechanics in terms of General Relativity, but without being afraid of (mild) singularities.
