Ken Mondschein

Ken is interested in medieval, Renaissance, and early modern cultural, intellectual, and social history; the history and social meaning of fencing and related arts; the history of premodern science and technology, especially the history of time and timekeeping; the history of romantic love; cultural encounters in the Middle Ages and Age of Exploration; ideas of race and racism; the history of sex and sexuality; and medieval and early modern military history. In the public sphere, he speaks out against racism and sexism in modern medievalisms both academic and non-academic.
